I’m Alex Calero, a product and service designer amazed by Human Driven Design and Cultural Sensitivity.
I hold an MSc in Integrated Product Design from theDelft University of Technology, which focuses on the design of user-centered innovative product-service combinations, based on a balance between user needs, business and societal challenges. Throughout the years, I have developed my career in design working for companies like Lego in Denmark, or Philips in the Netherlands, to a start-up in South Korea or a luxury design agency in Shanghai. I’m currently working as a Service Designer and Strategist at Designit New York.
I enjoy making products and experiences that delight and have an impact on our societies. My motivation is to help companies achieve their business goals by creating positive innovation through products and services.
I am a creative and versatile person, whose passion is to be challenged with projects that constantly question the way we live. My creative approach —despite the medium— always starts by understanding the user, analysing trends and finding dilemmas that can later be used to conceptualise and embody design solutions.
After all these experiences, I’m currently open for new and exciting projects anywhere in the globe! Literally.
